KITSAP COUNTY TRAFFIC SAFETY TASK FORCE

The Kitsap County Traffic Safety Task Force is managed by the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office. The task force collaborates with community members, organizations and law enforcement to help educate citizens on pedestrian and bicycle safety issues as well as providing traffic safety education and enforcement activities throughout the County. 

The Task Force member agencies include Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, Port Orchard and Poulsbo Police Departments, and the Washington State Patrol.

 



Projects and Programs:

  • MADD Law Enforcement Annual Awards – Top DUI officers of each Kitsap County law enforcement agency
  • Night of a 1000 Stars
  • Military Partnerships with Naval Stations Bangor and Kitsap (see photo gallery)
  • Monthly Emphasis Patrols throughout the County
  • Local Partnerships with MADD Kitsap and SafeKids Kitsap Coaltion
  • ADAT Car – 2006 Subaru Legacy obtained for school zones and aggressive driving (see photo gallery)
  • Move Over Act and Move Right for Lights and Sirens Traffic Safety Campaigns
  • Mock Crash events for local high schools; naval bases for traffic safety (see photo gallery)
