Impaired Driving

Impaired Driving Program Objectives and Activities

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for persons 1 to 34 years of age.  Impaired driving is the leading cause of traffic deaths in Washington.

As identified in Washington's Strategic Highway Safety Plan: Target Zero, impaired driving is a top priority for Washington and a top priority for the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

The Impaired Driving Program funds impaired driving projects with the following objectives:
