School Zones
School zones alert drivers, save lives, and prevent serious injuries near schools.
We provide grant opportunities for the purchase of school zone flashing lights, crossing guard equipment and training, and school zone enforcement equipment.
Program objectives
Keep children safe on their way to and from school
We help local communities improve school zone safety. We focus on pupil transportation safety and student safety at school bus stops. Projects include::
- School Zone Flashing Lights Grants
- School Zone Mini Grants (up to $500)
- School Zone Safety Equipment Grants for Law Enforcement
